Fresh baked or purchased angle food cake with hole in center
Fashion-style doll, 7-8 inches tall
Flexible cardboard
Tape
Frosting
Decorators frosting (as for writing)
Decorations such as small sugar flowers, balls, "gems"
Secure doll in center of cake using cardboard and tape. Using a piece of cardboard cut into a semi-circle, attach a skirt to the dolls waist so that there will be a clean line from her waist to the top of the cake. Secure with tape. Frost the cake, including the cardboard skirt, and decorate it to resemble a ball gown. Use the decorators frosting to make scallops and skirt over-lays.
