1 28 oz. can tomatoes, chopped
1 3-31/2 lb. boneless chuck roast
10-20 cloves of garlic
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Put roast in oven-proof 4-5 qt. heavy pot or casserole with lid. Pour tomatoes and juice over roast and scatter
around it. Season with salt and pepper. Braise in middle of oven, covered, until very tender, 3-4 hours. Slice and serve with sauce.
Also good in the crock pot.
