Pecan Pralines

1 1/4 cups white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
1 t vanilla
2 cups pecans

Cook sugar and milk to soft-ball stage, add butter. When melted, take from fire and beat until it begins to thicken. Add nuts and vanilla, and drop a teaspoonful at a time on oiled or buttered paper.
